Thank you so much for encouraging this venture. Some of you have asked about this platform and how it works, and the short answer for now is that it’s on-the-job training for me. Today I will post Chapter 3, which takes us further into this improbable voyage on a Turkish gulet.

What’s a gulet, you ask. You can search gulet for a look at these beautiful vessels. There are many, of all variety. They can be chartered by a single group, or, as in this draft novel, they an be boarded by solo travelers or couples. Most itineraries follow the Turkish coast, but I’ve seen longer voyages as well. If you want a gulet experience, try one of the representatives in Marmaris, the Turkish port city mentioned in this novel.
